HORTICULTURE MUSIC BINDERS FILTERS

OUR CENTER OF FAMILY LOVE PROGRAMS

Center of Family Love programs include Horticulture rehabilitation training at the Kristy Wittrock Memorial Horticulture Center, the new Music program, and two Sheltered Workshop programs; the CFL Factory (binder manufacturing) and CFL Enterprises (air filter manufacturing). The HORTICULTURE program brings plant and flower enthusiasts to the Center of Family Love main campus to witness the inspiration and quality working skills of our adults with disabilties in the field of horticulture. With its accompanying gift shop, this giant Greenhouse grows plants and flowers from poinsettias through hanging spider plants...and everything in-between. Visitors will marvel at the wide selection grown from seed and cuttings by these talented adults with disabilities. More on the HORTICULTURE Center here.

The MUSIC program is one of the highlights of the residents at both the ICF and the Loosen Geriatric Center. In this outstanding program, residents enjoy weekly 'lessons' in music and social interaction in a group setting. Groups include the Okarche Singers, the Okarche Rhythm Band and last, but not least, the Center of Family Love's Handbell Choir. Led by Dr. Miho Fisher, the groups have performed concerts last year at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, our own 25th Anniversary Celebration and a benefit concert at Christ the King Catholic Church in Oklahoma City. The BINDER CFL Factory program is a top-notch manufacturing vocational program for our adults with developmental disabilities. Manufacturing quality binders for home, commercial and the Oklahoma State Use Program, our DD adults learn hands-on skills that build confidence, provide inspiration and bring intellectually challenging learning skills to all who participate. Located adjacent to our ICF facility on the main Okarche campus, our CFL Factory manufactures thousands of binders every year...all made by hand by our Special Angels. More on the BINDERS here.

Finally, our AIR FILTER CFL Enterprises program is another top-notch manufacturing training facility for the developmentally disabled adults. Specializing in custom sized air filters for home, commercial and the Oklahoma State Use Program, CFL Enterprises employs 37 DD adults in Kingfisher. Most of these adults at this facility already lead independent lives in many of our group homes and surrounding communities. More on the AIR FILTERS here.
